Itinerary: |
The Canadian Ski Mountaineering Circuit is pleased to announce
that the 3rd Annual MEC Vert180 Ski Mountaineering Race at
Canada Olympic Park will be held on December 1, 2011 from 6 to
9pm. After the first year you ask for more snow so last year we
bought you a blizzard with powder skiing at COP. Last year you
asked for more vertical so COP trucked tonnes of dirt to make the
climb even higher. This is a great way to meet new ski partners,
get in shape for the season or if you are a beginner, learn how to
use your gear in a control fun environment. The race will be three
hours (180 minutes) with three main categories, solo, pairs or 4
(or 3)person relay teams. The most vertical feet climbed and
descended wins in each respective category. There is also youth
and teen options. Discounts for pre-registration and the first 100
people to register will get a special prize. Food will be included
and there will be door prizes given out at the after party.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance: Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!
*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
