Itinerary:
Meet at the Recycling bins near Stoney Trail and carpool to a TBD location somewhere in a National Park and see if our ski gear is working. We will do some beacon practice and assemble our shovels and probes and play in the snow. I am doing some reconnaissance tomorrow and will scout out where there is any snow suitable for skiing this weekend. It will be very close to the road and nothing difficult, just enough to get our feet wet.... (also hopefully not literally)
Required Items to Bring:
Beacon (no single antenna beacons as per the Calgary section rules), shovel, probe, backpack that accommodates all these objects as well as 1L water bottle, your lunch, a snack, some extra layers of clothing. Bring everything required to make a comfortable day of skiing in 'ze mountains. Please check that all your gear is functioning the evening before we meet just in case.

Recommended Items to Bring:
Anything else you may desire to keep you warm and comfortable, without bringing too much, this should all fit into a 30L daypack.

Cancellation Policy
If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
