Itinerary:
Let's see if we can make our way to the top of Mount Temple in late September and not have to tromp through too much snow in getting to the top. We will leave our carpool location nice and early at 6:00 am and hope to start our trip from Moraine Lake at 8:00 am towards Sentinel Pass, enjyoing the larches en route. As we will most likely encounter snow at this time of year, we need to be comfortable moving in snow covered terrain and have skills in using our ice axe in moderately steep terrain higher up on the mountain. I will check out the conditions on the mountain shortly before the trip and advise everyone what we can expect. Should conditions suggest, we will chose an alternative climb that day. This will be a long day with 1,700 vertical meters to be gained, so a good lvel of fitness is a pre-requisite.
Required Items to Bring:
Helmet, Ice Axe, sturdy scrambling boots, gaiters, Sun gogles, sun screen, late season layered clothing plus with warm gloves and toque, as it can be quite cold up high. personal first aid kit

Recommended Items to Bring:
enough food and drink for a long hard day out.
