Itinerary: |
We are looking to climb Mount Chester this Sunday and hope that there will still be a lot of snow in the north Gully to alow for some fun glissading on the way down. There may also be some snow patches up higher on the mountain, however, I expect that we can navigate this on easy rock slabs and it should be mostly bare. We will have a creek crossing and it will run high,as there is still up to 1.5 meters of snow at the lake itself. Best to have your wading shoes along. All in all the conditions will be unique and shoudl make for a good early season style scramble up to above 10,000 feet.
