All participants must be competent
using an avalanche transceiver, probe, shovel, ice axe, and must
be familiar with glacier travel & crevasse rescue techniques.
Fri., Mar. 2: Drive to West Louise lodge,, leave one car there,
drive to Bow Lake, ski to Balfour hut.
Sat., Mar. 3: Ski to Balfour Col, put our gear into a snow hole
and ski up Balfour Mountain (if weather looks OK), ski back down,
pick up our gear and ski to Scott Duncan Hut. This hut is
sometimes cold so bring a warm sleeping bag.
Sun., Mar. 4: Ski out, drive all drivers to Bow Lake, drive back
to West Louise Lodge, drive back to Calgary.

Distance: 40km Cumulative Vertical Gain: over 2000m Cost: $50 for the huts. When you
are selected for the trip and moved onto the participants' list, you
will have 3 days to send an electronic email money transfer to Lida.
You also need to buy your own Wilderness pass from Parks
Canada. Order this in advance and have it with you for the trip. It is
$10/night.

Good fitness level and skiing ability.
AT or tele gear & skins (no split boards allowed)
Avalanche transceiver, probe, shovel
Ice axe, boot crampons
Harness, 2 locking carabiners, 2 snap carabiners, 2 prussiks,
1 ice screw
Headlamp
Personal first aid kit
Hut Gear
Big black plastic bag
Food for 3 days.
You will need to carry some of the group gear such as a
rope.

If you cancel, you may not get your money back.
Cancellation Policy If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.

Waiver and Membership Requirement
Participation in this activity is subject to you having a current membership and a current signed
ACC Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, Assumption of Risks Agreement (the “Waiver”), which is signed in conjunction with purchasing/renewing your membership.
A separate Waiver is not required. Your membership Waiver in place at the time of the activity will apply to your participation in this activity. You can review your completed waiver by logging onto your profile at alpineclubofcanada.ca. If your
membership renews prior to the activity taking place, you will be required to agree to a new Waiver upon renewal, this new Waiver will apply to your participation in this activity. By proceeding with the booking, you agree to the foregoing waiver terms. Bookings
without a current Waiver at the time of the activity will be cancelled.
