Mount Wendell is listed in Nugara's "More Scrambles", page 171. Mt Wendell is only 600 meters high, but the hike over the ridge makes total elevation gain 1200 meters. Distance 8 km each way, makes a longish walk. Our hiking pace will be "easy and relaxed" which works on this route because it's mostly just walking. We will hike over the "Hiker's Ridge" and down across the CMC Valley. The route up to Mt Wendell is mostly slab, and down is mostly boot-ski.
