Itinerary: |
In support of the Rock Review 2011 I will lead an easy
5.6-5.7 multi-pitch route on Kid Goat on the Sunday morning,
and depending on weather, time and traffic on the wall, possibly
doing a second one after lunch. The targeted routes are Keelhaul
Wall 5.6, Twilight Zone 5.6, Slingsby's Overhangs Direct 5.7, or
Gray Waves 5.8 depending on what's available. The routes are 4-
5 pitches long with a climbing time of 2-3 hours.
I'll be strongly favouring new members or people with little to no
multi-pitch experience, but at least a moderate amount of top-
roping and/or single pitch climbing experience who are
reasonably confident on 5.7 rock. Plus you do have to be
participating in the Rock Review weekend as a whole.
If you sign yourself up on the waitlist, please send me an e-mail
indicating the following:
- when you joined the Calgary section
- how much multi-pitch experience you have - approximate
number of routes will do
- your typical grade that you follow on rock - without
weighting the rope or pulling on gear!
- whether you can safely belay a leader
- whether you might be keen to do a second climb after
lunch
If you don't send me the requested info you won't get on the list!

Cancellation/Partial Attendance: Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!
Cancellation Policy If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
