As part of the Rock Review 2011 I would like to offer a multi-pitch climb in the Bow Valley. Right now I'm thinking about a mixed climb on Cascade Mountain in the 5.10a to 5.10c range. As we are depending on the weather and the climbing abilities of the participants we might end up somewhere else in the Bow Valley or climb something easier. There are no leading skills required, but you have to be able to give me a belay. If you wanna know how it feels to pull some small handholds high off the ground, this will be the trip for you. Please include a brief climbing-bio when signing up. Participant selection will be at the leader's discretion.
Required Items to Bring:
harness, helmet, belay device, rock shoes, personal prussiks, self belay sling (no daisy chain), anchor sling, nut tool -if something of the gear above is missing in your hardware collection -let me know and I try to get it for you.
Recommended Items to Bring:
lunch, water, wind breaker, warm shirt, approach shoes, small day pack, camera, sunscreen
Cancellation Policy If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
Trip Feedback If you have any feedback, positive or negative, concerning this trip or any other, we want to hear from you! You can send any feedback you may have to the Section Chair.
