We at the T&L Committee are able to offer this three day Remote Responder Wilderness First Aid course on July 16, 17, and 24th 2011. The course will be free of charge and is thus very good value. It thus becomes extremely important to us that you follow through and attend the course. If for any reason you learn that you will be unable to attend please find someone who can replace you and then notify your group leader or our office immediately.
Required Items to Bring:
What to Bring With You Days 1 and 2 (Indoors): Pen/pencil, lunch, comfortable clothing for the practical elements of the course, your questions. Day 3 (Outdoors - Bragg Creek): Pen/pencil, lunch, clothing suitable for active use in the outdoors during changing weather conditions (layering is best). Also bring a day pack containing items you would normally carry on a day hike such as water, sunscreen, sunglasses, toque, gloves, hat, bug repellant and first-aid kit.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:   Finding CAOC The Calgary Area Outdoor Council is located just west of the junction of Memorial Drive and 10 Street NW in the second floor of the “Old Kensington Firehall” building. You must drive eastbound along Memorial Drive NW in order to turn into the City of Calgary parking lot adjacent to the building. When you arrive ask for a parking pass. (Parking passes must be returned at the end of the day please.) Finding Bragg Creek Provincial Park Bragg Creek Provincial Park is located near Bragg Creek, a half-hour west of Calgary. Your instructor will provide specific directions. You will be responsible for providing your own transportation there.

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
