Itinerary:
Tuesday January 11th: Meet at the carpool at 5:45am, Depart at 6am. Drive to the Rogers Pass. Ski a shorter trip, route dependent on snow/avy conditions. Wednesday January 12th: Ski somewhere interesting, seeking some turns or a destination based on energy/interest/weather. A bigger day if condidtions allow. Drive back to Calgary. People wishing to stay longer may be able to join Marg Rees' trip on Jan12-14 through the Rocky Mtn ACC section.
Required Items to Bring:
Basically: ski gear, avi gear, appropriate clothing, goggles, food, waterbottles. More specifically: Tele or AT skis (no xcountry please), poles, boots, skins, transceiver, shovel, probe, warm clothes, breakfast and lunch food for 2 days. I will likely bring a slowcooker for the Jan11th dinner. I'll discuss this with attendees before the trip.

Sunscreen, sunglasses, wine, helmet, snorkel...

Notes:
Glacier Park Lodge rooms are 2 double beds at $99 per room. Each room holds up to 4 people if beds are shared. Cost will depend on number of people in the room. As always, the trip will be subject to change due to weather and especially avi conditions.

I'll need a confirmation you plan to attend before booking the hotel room. There may be a charge if you confirm but then cancel within the hotel's 3day room booking cancellation policy.
*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
