Itinerary:
Escape the Canadian winter by flying to Cuba for a rock climbing holiday. Not your average club trip, more a call-out for partners to share travel, accomodation, leading and belaying during a climbing holiday in Cuba.

Valle de Vinales, a small village in the Pinar del Rio province of western Cuba 3 hours west of Havana has been developed into a sport climbing mecca rivaling Railay Thailand or Kalymnos Greece. More than 250 sport routes weave through high quality karst limestone jugs, pockets, stalactites and overhangs. Grades vary but the best begin in the high 5.10 and up range.

Airfare is reasonable with Westjet or Air Canada. Accomodation is available for around $25CAD per night per room, meals another $15/day.

My flight departure is February 26, returning March 26, 2011. Participants can join for as little or as long as they like.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance:
Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
