Itinerary:
This trip is intended for people new to backcountry skiing, our focus will be on safe route selection, evaluating current conditions, and beacon burial/ recovery. If conditions allow, and group is willing, we will try for a few turns. All participants are required to sign the ACC Trip waiver form prior to departure for the trip, a copy can be viewed on the website.
Required Items to Bring:
Beacon, shovel, probe, ski gear (don't forget skins), warm clothing, fluids, food, gas money for carpool driver

Recommended Items to Bring:
warm jacket, hot drinks, first aid kit

Event Directions:   North of Mosquito Creek Hostel, we will travel together

Carpool Directions:   7311- 34 Ave NW North west corner of Sarcee Trail and 16 Ave(Transcanada Highway), located directly west of Sunnyside Green Houses.

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
