Itinerary: |
Meet at car pool location, arrange transport, and head to Yoho
National Park. We intend to tour up the Lake O'Hara Fire Road to
Lake O'Hara. We'll check it out, turn around and ski back down.

Transceiver, shovel, probe, food, liquids.

Recommended Items to Bring: |
Additional warm clothing, hot drink, any personal items you may
require. Be sure to bring gas money for the car pool drivers, a
minimum of $20.00 is appropriate.

Parking lot is on the south side of Highway #1 ( 16 Ave) just east of
the Valley Ridge turn off. It is accessed by taking the Valley Ridge
exit, and driving back on the south side service road, parallel to the
highway.

Notes: |
This trip is intended to allow beginning backcountry skiers gain
experience with backcountry gear. Beginners will be given
preference. The intention of the trip is get a few kilometers
on the legs in preparation for the real fun later in the season.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance: Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!
*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
