Itinerary:
NOTE: an additional event has been posted to duplicate this event on the RR Sunday.

In support of the Rockreview 2010 I will lead easy 5.6-5.7 multi-pitch routes on Kid Goat - one party of two in the morning, and another in the afternoon. The targeted routes are Keelhaul Wall 5.6, Twilight Zone 5.6, or possibly Slingsby's Overhangs Direct 5.7 depending on traffic on the wall. The routes are 4-5 pitches long with a climbing time of 2-3 hours.

I'll favour people with little to no multipitch experience, but at least a moderate amount of top-roping and/or single pitch climbing experience who are reasonably confident on 5.7 rock.

Because of the split day, this will involve some car-shuttling - one car for the morning party and one for the afternoon party, as I will stay at the crag in between. If you put yourself on the waitlist, please send me an e-mail indicating the following:

  • your typical grade that you climb comfortably
  • whether you have experience belaying a leader(I will require at least one member of each party to have had past experience)
  • how much multi-pitch experience you have - approximate number of routes, and maybe mention your favourite of them(and whether they include any of the Kid Goat routes, so I can try to give you a new experience rather than a repeat)
  • whether you will have a car at the Rock Review(at least one participant will need one in addition to my own)

Note that the afternoon party will need to find their own way to the crag, but I will provide detailed instructions before we leave in the morning. There is also good cell coverage at the crag in case we have any trouble with timing.

Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons.
