Itinerary: |
August 19: Leave Calgary 4am. and start hiking at 6am. Bike first 6km of approach. Hike to R.C. Hind ACC Hut (10-12 hours)
August 20: Alpine start, Climb Mount Assiniboine via North East 5.5 Ridge
August 21: Hike out before bad weather rolls in and drive to Calgary.

-Must have previous 4th and 5th class alpine experience
-Be physically fit and have the endurance for 4 long days
-Ability to pack light and efficiently
-Glacier travel and crevasse rescue experience.
-Enthusiastic for easier objectives in the event of bad weather/conditions
-Ready to pay $20/night for the hut at the trip departure

Cancellation/Partial Attendance: Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!
*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
