Itinerary:

Need some motivation to do your seasonal laundry and gear maintenance? Do it with fellow ACC members and make it less of a chore!

Bring anything you've been putting off cleaning, such as:

  • Hard and soft shells
  • Down and synthetic jackets or sleeping bags
  • Wool and Fleece
  • Gloves
  • Boots
  • Tents
  • Packs
  • Your dirty ropes if you are feeling adventurous

I will be bringing bottles of cleaner and DWR (Nikwax or similar) for people to split, or you can bring your own. Email me if you have questions (carlsonmark@gmail.com)

A tentative location has been set, but if you know of a more suitable laundromat, please post the information to the forum, here (the login and password is the same for the forum as it is for the calendar.) Some information about the laundromat:


  • 15 front-load washers

  • 12 top-load washers

  • 22 large dryers

  • $6 for large washing machines (5 loader)

  • $4 for medium washing machines (3 loader)

  • $3 for small washing machines (2+ loader)

  • $2 for top loader washing machines

  • $1.50 for a normal load (25 cents for 5 minutes)

  • Loonies for washers, quarters for dryers, change machine available

  • Doors are locked at 10PM, so make sure you will be done by then!

  • Tons of parking

The event will be followed by a trip to the pub. See you there!
How to Get There:
Event Directions:  

From 16th Ave, heading east: Turn right onto 36 St and immediately cross all lanes and take the next left onto Marbank Dr. NE. Then turn into the 7-11 parking lot and follow it around the west side.

From Memorial Drive, heading east: Turn North onto 36 St. You will likely hit every red light :-(. Turn right at Marbank Drive and into the 7-11 parking lot. Drive around the 7-11 until you get to the laundromat.

Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
