Itinerary:
Wilderness Medical Consultants (WMC) will be running a discounted Advanced Wilderness First Aid course exclusively for Alpine Club of Canada members. This 40 hour course is a must-have for those pursuing multi-day or long single day backcountry trips, far from professional first responders. The course runs in Canmore April 17-21, 2010 and costs $375 plus GST. For more information on this and other WMC courses, or to register, point your browser to http://www.wildernessmedicalconsultants.ca/ Wilderness Medical Consultants also offers a 5% discount to ACC members on all its other first aid courses. For an entertaining description of the course from the eyes of a graduate, see the Rocky Mountain Section Blizzard newsletter article starting on page 8: http://www.accrockymtn.ca/docs/blizzard/11-blizzard-autumn-2009.pdf
Notes:
PLEASE DO NOT SIGN UP USING THE ONLINE TRIP CALENDAR! You must contact Wilderness Medical Consultants directly.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance:
Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
