Fitness/Skill Expectations:  You must be prepared for a long day in the mountains and familiar with glacier travel, including the use of crampons and ice axe as well as crevasse rescue.

Participants must be comfortable with the use of crampons on exposed ice slope.

You should be prepared to ascend and descend about 1,700 m of elevation gain over 20km.

Logistics:  The plan is to drive from Calgary on Sunday morning, climb Cathedral Mountain in the day, drive back home in the evening.

Screening: Event attendees will be screened to ensure they have the necessary skills and experience to complete this climb.  Sign-up is not first come first served, and attendees will be selected at the discretion of the trip leader.

If we haven't climbed together recently send me a quick email at: mathurin.romand@gmail.com explaining your experience, fitness, previous trips this season and why your a good fit for the trip.

Weather:  The forecast for Sunday looks currently good but unstable.  It's supposed to rain a lot on Wednesday and Thursday.  We will keep an eye on the forcast and if it deteriorates too much we might consider a shorter and easier day.

Required Items to Bring:

Helmet, harness, rappel/belay device, a few locking biners, double length sling, glacier travel kit, boots, crampons, ice axe, warm clothes, food, waterwater, anything else you might need.

Detailed list will be discuss with the group before Sunday.
