Itinerary:

3:30 pm Meet up at the Petro Canada Hwy 1 and Hwy 22 - Completion of necessary paperwork and gear check.

4:00 pm - Leave Petro Canada - travel Hwy 22 through Bragg Creek and along Hwy 66 to the Powderface Road. Powderface Road to the South TH and then to the main TH.

5:15 pm - Arrive South Trailhead - drop designated cars for shuttle back to the main trail head.

5:15 - 5:30 pm - Arrive main trail head and complete preparations for the hike.

5:30 pm - Start hike to the Jumpingpound Mountain Summit

6:30 - 7:00 pm - Arrive Jumpingpound Mountain Summit - time for snacks and pictures.

7:15 pm - Leave Jumpingpound Mountain Summit for the hike to the south trailhead.

8:00 pm - Arrive South Trailhead and prepare for shuttle back to the main trailhead. Return to the Petro Canada via the Powderface Road north to Hwy 68 and then east to Hwy 1 and back to our meet up point at the Petro Canada.

9:00 - 9:30 pm - Arrive Petro Canada Hwy 1 and Hwy 22.

Required Items to Bring:

Hiking shoes; trekking poles; day pack 15 - 25 litre size; wind breaker; extra layer.


Recommended Items to Bring:

Adequate snacks and hydration; sun hat; sunscreen and insect repellent.

Travel: This Event Will Have a Carpool though members can meet the group at the Main TH.
             
Total Km (round trip) NUMBERS ONLY: roughly 140 km RT


Carpool Location: Petro Canada - Hwy 22 and Hwy 1 - specific meeting point details once registration closes and numbers confirmed.

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
