Itinerary:

Plan will be an alpine start to tackle the NE Ridge to the summit of Mount Bell.  The route is rated somewhere between 5.3-5.5, depending on who you believe.  It's a classic rockies alpine route.  You should be comfortable scrambling 4th/low 5th class terrain.  This is a long route with lots of scrambling.  We will bring a rope and gear to pitch out trickier sections.

Descent is via a steep snow gully.  Mountaineering axe required, crampons possibly needed.

This is a day trip, with carpool from Calgary. Expect the climb to take about 12h.

Required Items to Bring:

Helmet, harness, belay/rappel device, mountaineering axe, possibly crampons.

Recommended Items to Bring:

Water, food, sunscreen, bug spray, camera

Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons.
