OVERVIEW
Sunrise Lodge is the southernmost of the four Golden Alpine Holiday lodges, located in the Esplanade Range of the Northern Selkirks, about 50 km northwest of Golden, B.C. The lodge is located at treeline, with lots of above and below treeline runs on all aspects. CHECK OUT THE VIDEO!

THE WEEK
We fly to and from the lodge by helicopter. The staging area is on the Trans-Canada Highway, about 50km west of Golden. We’ll be self-guided and self-catered.
….Self-guided means we won’t have professional guides leading trips. The camp manager and the more experienced participants will be organizing and leading trips, but every participant should have enough skill and experience to be fairly self-sufficient.
….Self-catered means we provide our own food for the week. We’ll have shared dinners, with participants looking after their own breakfasts and lunches. For the shared dinners, I’ll divide people into pairs who will be responsible for buying and preparing one dinner for the entire group.

THE LODGE
The lodge accommodates 14 people in seven bedrooms. Pillows, duvets, and sheets are provided. The kitchen has a propane stove with oven, plus all eating and cooking utensils, cups, bowls, plates, etc. There’s a sauna as well.

COST
$975 per person (taxes included) for the helicopter flight in and out, and accommodation at the lodge. The $975 is based on 11 participants. If we have more, you’ll get a partial refund, up to about $100 if we get 14 people. As per Calgary Section policy, the above price includes the camp manager’s helicopter and accommodation costs.

HOW TO BOOK
If you're a Calgary section member, add your name to the waiting list. If you're a member of another section, phone me at 403-860-3671. I’ll email you an application form. Mail me back the completed and signed form, and send the section treasurer a $500 deposit cheque. (Details will be in the application form.) Your application will be reviewed within a week of receipt. If it’s accepted, your cheque will be deposited to the section’s bank account. The $475 balance is due October 31. If your application is not accepted, your cheque will be destroyed.

CANCELLATION POLICY
If you cancel before your application is accepted, you’ll get a full refund. If you cancel after your application is accepted, you’ll forfeit any payments you’ve made up to that point unless you can find a suitable replacement. If we don’t receive the final $475 payment by October 31, we may cancel your spot and you could forfeit your deposit unless you can find a suitable replacement.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance:
Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
