This is part of the Rock review. I will be
camping Friday and Saturday night.
Jeff will lead a separate rope team.
You must know how to provide a safe lead
belay on single or double ropes and practiced
cleaning trad protection. No multi-pitch
experience necessary and you are not expected
to lead,
but if you feel up for it then great!
We will climb one (or two) of the many
traditional multi-pitch routes on Kid goat.
Options
are Twilight(5.7), Highlight(5.9), Twilight
Zone(5.7), Keelhaul Wall(5.6) or Slingsby's
Overhang(5.7). Choice of route will depend on
the abilities of our team and other climbers on
the cliff. We'll plan to be early to have first
choice.
We will travel up and over the climb and
making a walk-off towards climbers right down a
drainage with a short 4th class step. This
means we will carry everything with us up the
climb.
Choose wisely with what you bring. If time and
fitness allow, we will attempt a second route
up.
