| Itinerary: |
|
We will plan to leave Friday afternoon around noon and meet at my place. Drive and set up camp at the campground just east of the Athabasca Glacier Information Centre. We can practice some crevasse rescue training that day/evening and then get up early (alpine start 3am) and climb up Mt. Athabasca Sat or Sun morning -weather depending (via the Silverhorn Route) and then drive back to Calgary Sat/Sun afternoon/evening.
Note, another trip leader will be present to lead a second rope on this trip.

Camping cost is about $25/night and I believe you can only fit one tent per site so each of you will need to bring $25 and your own tent unless you arrange to stay with someone else.

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
