Itinerary:
Ski up the Boom Lake, down to the end to have a look at the ice climbs there, back home for tea and medals. The Boom lake trail is pretty mellow and the avalanche forecast is looking OK, but it does cross 1 or 2 slide paths and is in ATR 2 territory, so Avi gear is required. I can lend someone a set if needed.
Required Items to Bring:
Nordic skis (skins probably not needed) usual winter back country kit. Food, drink, head lamp, Avi gear

Recommended Items to Bring:
A beer for afterwards

How to Get There:
Carpool Departure Time:   08:00 AM
Carpool Location:   Petro Canada Highway 1 / Highway 22

Cancellation/Partial Attendance:
Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
