Itinerary:
From the Sunshine parking lot the route follows Healy Creek to the base of Healy Pass. It then turns S on a wide bench below the Monarch Ramparts. Just before Eohippus Lake, we climb up to the S end of the Ramparts and follow them back N to Healy Pass. From there, it's a quick ski down back to Sunshine. All participants must be competent in using an avalanche transceiver, probe, and shovel. This is a long trip. We'll be moving at a steady pace up to Healy Pass, about 3.5km/hr, with short stops along the way. Be prepared for a fast ski from Healy Pass back to the Sunshine parking lot.
