Itinerary:
Set up for top roping on the steep, long walls of Marble Canyon. You must have the strength & endurance to climb back out of the canyon, as we have to rappel in to start the climb. There is limited space, so we want to leave a line open for other parties. *2016 Seasonal Note: Beta is the bottom 20m is not yet formed, which means we may have to set up a belay from above. This could mean the belayer will be exposed to cold winds. This also means if you climb leashless and drop a tool that may be bad news - consider having tools attached to harness or wrist I will likely have to meet at the parking lot, or if registrants know how to get to the climb, may meet directly at the top of the climb, as I may be in Banff the night before and may go early to suss out the anchor area.
Required Items to Bring:
Personal ice climbing gear

Recommended Items to Bring:
If you have a 70m dry rope, anchor kit, and long slings please advise. Setting up the anchor will take some time

How to Get There:
Event Directions:   Down Hwy 93S.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance:
Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
