Want to have more fun back country skiing? Practice turns at the resorts!
This trip is best suited for the intermediate and above skiers who need more confidence skiing backcountry step and deep terrain or just want to practice their turning technique.
We will ski black runs in the back bowls (Paradise, Summit - front and back) looking for soft snow and powder if we get lucky and also ski some glades (Ptarmigan). We will start as a group, perhaps splitting into 2 groups based on ski ability levels. Ski improving tips will be offered if needed.
We'll meet at the main lodge around 9:00 AM near the outdoor ticket booths. We’ll also meet at Temple Lodge (on the back side) for lunch at ~ 12:30. We will plan to leave the hill around 4:30 PM. It is important to make arrangements with your driver as to where and when to meet for the drive back.

Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $72.00 (calculated at total Km * $0.20, effective Friday, February 28, 2014). Your carpool driver will confirm exactly how much money they require to cover costs. Please split the actual cost among all people in the vehicle. Please bring your Park Pass or contribute couple of $ for the Park entry fee.

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
