Itinerary:
Mount Nestor (2970m) is at the S end of the Goat Range, on the W side of the Spray Lakes Reservoir. Its aesthetic E Ridge (II 5.5) is mostly a straightforward but interesting scramble for several pitches, with a short-lived crux. Descent is via the Moderate scramblers' route down the S Ridge and talus slopes.

18km distance, 1300m cumulative elevation gain, about 14 hours.

At least 2L water
Rock helmet
Ice axe & crampons (may be left in the car)
Harness, 2 locking carabiners, small rack

How to Get There:
Event Directions:   If you aren't meeting at the car pool, take the Smith-Dorrien / Spray Lakes road from Canmore and cross to the W side of the Spray Lakes Reservoir at the 3 Sisters Dam. Follow the road for about 5km to the end at the gate barrier.

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
