Itinerary:
My assumption is you have previous crevasse rescue experience. This is only a review of skills you would have already been taught by a professional. We will discuss techniques and practice crevasse rescue from the safety of my backyard (or garage if weather is crappy). We will discuss but obviously not be able to build anchors. If you are planning on doing some glacier travel this summer or want to keep the winter skills current, this will allow us to share ideas and practice. We will also review roping up and setting up for glacier travel. If we do any glacier travel together, I will require we have reviewed this. If there is sufficient demand for these skills we can look at options for less experienced members.
Required Items to Bring:
Harness, 2 locking beaners, 2 non locking beaners, prussick

Recommended Items to Bring:
1 long sling if you have it, appropriate clothing

Notes:
I will supply snacks and hot/cold beverages

Cancellation/Partial Attendance:
Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
