Itinerary:
I know where the ridge is, but I don't know about the snow conditions at the crest. I plan on hiking as far as 3 km along the ridge, or until the snow-drifts stop me -- that's the "Beta" I'm looking for. If you'd like to come along with me, I'd welcome your company. The forecast is for "nice" so the views should be good.
Required Items to Bring:
Lunch and water. Boots and gators. Dress for the weather.

Recommended Items to Bring:
Camera, hiking poles. On previous spring hikes here, I did not bring home any ticks -- but you might bring your bug spray, and sun-block.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:   Park at Wasootch Day Use, and hike the trail to Porcupine Creek.
Carpool Departure Time:   08:00 AM
Carpool Location:   My place: 10813 5th Street SW.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance:
Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
