Allan Main and I will be conducting a knots workshop at CAOC on the evening of June 10th 2013. During this workshop we will, describe and teach the basic climbing knots and their use. We will go through the uses of these key knots and all of us will get the chance to do a lot of much practicing the knots using our own equipment. Aside from just tying the knots, we will be practicing efficient and correct ways of tying into the harness, the use of prussiks, using specific knots for tying off and belaying etc.
This workshop should serve as a good refresher practice session before the summer climbing season and is highly recommended for those of us that will be partaking in the summer climbing courses offered by our sections T&L.
