Itinerary:
Meet in Waterton for a pre trip meeting and get one last sleep on a mattress. Set off early in the morning making it as far as we can along the Akamina - Kishinena Ridge as possible, set up a comfy camp and enjoy some great turns before slogging way back to highway and civilization, Sunday. We will aim to ski >10km and 1000m both days. The goal of this trip is to practice, winter camping and skiing downhill with all the above gear.
Required Items to Bring:
AT/Tele Gear, sunglasses, avalanche beacon (no single antenna beacons please), probe and shovel, winter sleeping bag, sleeping pad, stove, pots, thermos, water bottle, food for 3 days. Multi-day pack (~50L), good working stove (white gas burning), meals, snacks, beverages

Recommended Items to Bring:
2 pairs of base layers, 2 pairs of socks, wide brim glacier hat or ball cap, small piece of foam (to sit on)

Notes:
We will meet before the trip to organize group gear (tents, stove(s), pots, ropes) and carpool arrangements once participants are selected.

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
