Itinerary:
Ski from Bow hut to Stanley Mitchell hut in the Little Yoho Valley. Winter camp for 1 or 2 nights on the way over and hopefully summit and ski some nice runs along the way. Several variations exist if snow conditions make travel through a few certain objective hazards unwise. Hopefully weather and Ular will be on our side and maybe we will even be able to summit and ski something in the Little Yoho Valley before the long ski out to either Field or Emerald Lake. Participants must be comfortable with winter camping, glacier travel, crevasse & companion rescue as well as being physically fit and proficient skiers in all conditions.
Required Items to Bring:
AT/Tele Gear, Harness, 2 locking carabiners, 2 identical non- locking carabiners, two 5m prussik cords, Ice axe, glacier travel sunglasses, avalanche beacon (no single antenna beacons please), probe and shovel, winter sleeping bag, Multi-day pack (~50L),

Recommended Items to Bring:
2 pairs of base layers, 2-3 pairs of socks, wide brim glacier hat or ball cap,

How to Get There:
Carpool Departure Time:   05:00 PM

Cancellation/Partial Attendance:
Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
