Itinerary:
The gem of the rockies!! Yoho valley offers deep snow, great terrain, peaks to bag and solitude away from the crowds! Not to mention a very nice hut to return to every night! The only catch is that the hut is 23km and 675m from the highway.Day one we shall ski to the Stanley Mitchell hut, 8-10 hours depending on snow conditions. Days two and three will be spent hopefully getting up some peaks and getting in some great skiing (the Presidents, Mt.McArthur, Isolated Peak). Day four we will make our way back to the highway. There will be endless, amazing powder skiing but keep in mind that this trip is more of a ski mountaineering trip as most of the objectives involve glacier travel steep snow climbing/rock scrambling and the use of crampons and an ice axe. Applications will be sent to participants and payment will be collected upon acceptance of your application. If you have any questions contact Tyler Kirkland at 403-217-4005 or tylerkirkland@shaw.ca
Required Items to Bring:
Equipment and carpool details will be sent to the participants. Based on the census of the group we might head out friday night and stay at the hostel in Field to allow an early start on saturday.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance:
Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
