Itinerary:
The plan will be to meet at the Stoney Trail recycling bins and car pool to Sunshine ski area parking lot. We will skin up Healy Ck trail to the meadows, take in the views, make a few turns, and return the same way. About 15 kms return with a 620m elevation gain. Good cardio on the way up with an interesting trail ski on the way down - good way to start the season!
Required Items to Bring:
Usual ski gear (AT or Tele), avi beacon ( 2 - 3 antennae), probes, shovel, down jacket & extra warm clothing, food, thermos of hot drink, sunglasses / goggles, head lamp , Park pass.

Recommended Items to Bring:
Camera, emerg/1st aid/repair kit.

Carpool Departure Time:   07:00 AM

Carpool Directions:   Carpool Location - The recycling bins by #1 Highway and Stoney Trail: West on #1 from Calgary, exit right to Valley Ridge Blvd, spin around the roundabout, under the highway, then back east toward Calgary on West Valley Road.

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
