Car pool to Sunshine ski area parking lot. Ski up Healy Ck trail to
Healy meadows and pass. Snack and have lunch lunch along the
way. Take a few runs, or toodle along the Ramparts, or dig a snow
pit, or do a beacon search practice or any of the above. Either
enjoy stunning views or near white out. Return down the Healy
Creek bobsled track. About 15 kms return with and ~ 600m
elevation gain; we should be back at the cars easily by sundown.
Required Items to Bring:
Usual ski gear (AT or Tele), avi beacon, probes, shovel, down jacket
& extra warm clothing, food, thermos of hot drink, sunglasses /
goggles, Park pass.
Recommended Items to Bring:
Camera, more food and liquids, emerg/1st aid/repair kit.
*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
