Notes:
This trip has been run for the past two years. Two years ago, temperatures were well below -33C on the first night and -30C with 80 km winds the second. We survived although any fun was type II. The goal of the trip is to complete an objective using snow shelters. The idea is to practice using snow shelters in a useful way. We will be >10 km from a road, spending significant time in the shelter (no tents will be carried) and will have to have enough spare time and energy to go off and ascend something. Images from the last two trips can be found at (http://www.mountainbagged.ca/gallery/main.php? g2_itemId=4394 & http://www.mountainbagged.ca/gallery/main.php? g2_itemId=2700) Open to those new to snow camping, but must be competent at skiing and camping.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance:
Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
