Itinerary:
We'll start at the Burstall Pass parking lot. Head up Burstall Pass for 3 km, then turn off at the flats to continue up the valley to Robertson glacier. Climb up to the pass, and take a long run back down. Depending on time and people's mood, might find somewhere to do a few turns. As we'll be heading onto a glacier, must have glacier equipment and be familiar with rescue techniques.
Required Items to Bring:
Avalanche gear (beacon, shovel, probe)
** Beacon must be 2 or 3 antenna as per the ACC policy- no single antenna beacons please**
Headlamp
Backcountry ski gear (AT or Tele, poles and climbing skins)
Glacier gear (harness, 2 locking and 2 non-locking beaners, 2 prusicks)

Recommended Items to Bring:
Lunch, liquids, warm clothing (and layers!)

Event Directions:   Burstall pass parking lot- West side of Smith-Dorrien/Spray Trail. 40km from Canmore or 20km from Kananaskis Lakes Trail junction.

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
