Itinerary:
Stolen from Tyler's 2009 event description :) For those of us who weren't able to make Paul and Sera's Wednesday night event in November... Another fine winter is just beginning so we had better get some transciever practice in now before the powder is too distracting :) The plan is to meet up at Edworthy Park to practice transciever searching for a couple of hours. Make sure to dress warm!
Required Items to Bring:
Avalanche transciever allowed by the ACC Calgary section (ie not a single-antenna beacon - time to head to MEC!) and headlamp

Recommended Items to Bring:
Warm clothes and hot drink

How to Get There:
Event Directions:   Meet at Angel's Cappuccino and Ice Cream cafe on the North side by the bridge (you can find it on google maps!). Parking access off of Shaganappi Trail and Bowness road (or you can park on the South side of the park and walk across the bridge to meet us)

Cancellation/Partial Attendance:
Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
