Itinerary:
The Campbell Icefield Chalet is surrounded by terrain suitable for all levels of skiers. Many peaks are accessible for those who wish to explore and see the area from up high. Open bowl and tree skiing abound in the chalet's immediate vicinity, for those days when we need to take it easy or visibility is poor. The chalet, completed in 2004, has all of the conveniences the discerning skier has come to expect such as running cold water, flush toilet, electricity, sauna and shower room. Please see the web site( http://www.skigolden.com/index.htm) for more information. Also, please consider purchasing trip cancellation insurance in the event of unforeseen delays and events. We are also pleased to have secured the services of ACMG Guide Cyril Shokoples for the duration of the camp. Trip participants (max 8) will have the option to take their AST 2 course in an extrordinary location throughout the week. There will be also the opportunity to participate in a guided trip with Cyril or learn new or review skills such as ; ski technique review; crevasse rescue review; snow profile session; plotting and interpretation session; tactical avalanche triage session; transceiver multiple burial and deep burial practice; track-setting coaching session; snow crystal identification; shelter building session; as time, interest, practicality and weather permits. This is a self catered, self guided camp. Breakfast and lunches are on your own, we will be arranging a supper menu where a few people will arrange and cook the meal for each evening. The cost of the camp (accommodation and helicopter) is $960.00 pp. A deposit of $400 pp made by December 15 will secure your booking. We will stay in Golden the night of Jan 27th, fly in Jan 28th from Donald at 7:00 am. Fly out, Saturday, Feb. 4th. Contact the trip coordinator for further details.
